7. Ashmitchell : I am looking for my half brother. I know his name was Matthew when he got adopted. My dad seems to think his adoptive parents lived in mosgiel at the time. He will be 31 now. He was born in Queen Mary hospital. I am his half sister and really would like to find him.

9. JeanineTE : My mother Rena Tamati gave birth to a boy on Christmas Day of either 1970 or 1971. His name was Jason. Her story is that she adopted him to a couple living next door as they would babysit both Jason and my older sister Deanna.
Mum has said Jason’s dad was in the army at Burnham and that he was from Ravensbourne in Dunedin. To my understanding it was an open adoption with both my mother and Jason’s father signing the adoption papers at the time.

The man named on the birth certificate as her father is Matthew Spence have never tried contacting as was told he was only a friend an assured was not father. Both originally from Nelson, But gave birth in Invercargill in 1989 Jan 24th.
