151. Sunflower6 : looking for information on my biological great grandfather
152. SCArnold : My Mothers story:
"I was born in an orphanage home on the 24 October 1962 around 1:00 am in a small town called Palmi (Reggio Calabria Italy).
I was told that my biological mother was a servant/maid/cleaner at this orphanage where she ended up giving birth.
I was baptised on the 26 October 1962‚ just two days after I was born.
I remained in the Orphanage until approximately the age of 3.
I was adopted out to a family named Mrs Carmela Natoli nee Messina and Mr Felice Natoli approximately around 1965‚ where we lived with my adopted mother’s mother Concetta Messina and her single sister Caterina Messina. They lived at "Rocco Pugliese Trav. N3 Palmi (R.C)".
I have also being told that my biological father was from America who was in the navy and they stopped at a port near Palmi 1962‚ and my biological mother fell in love and got pregnant.
I have tried to find out more‚ but every time I have been given a different story‚ no-one seems to want to be honest with me. The only two people from my hometown who really knew my biological mother where two old Sisters‚ Carmela and Maria Satriano‚ they both have passed away many years ago.
When I was adopted‚ my birth certificate was done in a way that my adopted parents were my "real" parents‚ and that my natural biological mother couldn’t be traced.
My biological mother apparently named me Angela‚ but my adopted parents named me Raffaella Natoli‚ and they always referred to me by my middle name Marina."
153. Stoneypath : Searching for a baby girl who would have been adopted as a foundling from Naples (Real Casa Santa dell’Annunziata). Birth name would have been Rose (Rosa‚ Rosalba?) not sure about the surname. Born in Dec 1945 or Jan 46. Parents were both from the UK (a solider and a nurse). She is probably very fair-skinned. She will be 80 soon - I fear time is running out to find her.
154. DonDuff4 : My Brother’s wife (Loretta) is seeking info on her Grandfather’s Adoption Records (Luigi Liccini 1889‚ Nov 29). Their family has known Granddad Luigi Liccini was adopted but no records yet of the adoption or his birth parents (Loretta’s Great-Grandparents). Please help us in any way possible. Thank you so much!! - Don and Loretta Duff
156. Bulwer : I was born in Venice‚ Italy on March 19‚ 1957. I spent my first 2 years in Italy. I am not sure who or whom was caring for me. I left from Milan‚ Italy and arrived in New York on July 03‚ 1959. I am hoping to find out some information on my biological parents or maybe any other family member that is related. My birth name given in Italy was Renata Montenovi. I now go by my adopted legal name Catherine Villecco. Hoping to find some closure.
158. Shellybelly24 : I am almost 50 and did not find out that the people that raised me weren’t my real parents till 5 years ago‚ I’m not sure when and where and why of the circumstances of the separation. My birth certificate says I was born in hopkinsville KY August 9th 1974‚ but I have since discovered by digging that my birth certificate was altered. The people that raised me were army so I spent majority of my life over seas‚ Italy for the first 3 years of my life. I think I may have been born there . I would love to find out more‚ but not sure if it was a closed adoption or a kidnapping. The people that raised me are pure evil and their soul purpose was to isolate me and make my life a living hell. Any answers or ways I could find out information would help. Air hugs squeeeeze!!
162. RobertoD : I was stationed in Okinawa from 1979 till 1980. I was married in December 1979. We deployed for training in March 1980 and remember kissing my wife goodbye across the street from the company office before we departed on cattle cars. At Camp Fuji‚ I was thrown off a helicopter on purpose so that I would be medivaced to the States. At Yokosuka Naval Hospital‚ one of my wife’s male elders (father?) gave me a speech about how I will not ever be with his daughter (niece or whatever) and that he would ruin me so that nobody in the family would ever want to be around me. I was drugged and in/out of a light coma for approximately 2 weeks. Before I was transported to the States I escaped after much abuse by the staff and made it back to Camp Fuji. Her family has dragged me away on several attempts for us to be together.
Interesting thing is the man that dropped me from the helicopter was named Donnie and he eventually married my wife took her and children to the States. A slight possibility that she had twins on our last attempt to reunite and may have been put up for adoption.
If any read this and are familiar with this story about Henoko and my wife and beautiful daughters let me know. Forgive the typos because I can’t find my glasses.
