Later, in May 1968, I was adopted by an elderly couple in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: Aristóteles Lourenço Jorge (a Navy officer) and Maria da Glória Leitão Lourenço Jorge. Neither the orphanage records nor the adoption process contain any information about my biological family.
