1. Maggs : i want to find my birth mother Eileen Madeleine Wood. On my adoption certificate my mother lived at 38B Westgate Street Ipswich Suffolk. My birth was registered on August 8th 1949. I was born in a mother and baby home 17 Beach Road East, Felixstowe, Suffolk. I have been to both addresses and both places have been demolished.

4. Ktbethell : Hello. I’m searching for my half-sister who was born as Amy Louise Chenery in November 1985 in Ipswich‚ Suffolk‚ England. Her birth parents are Sonia Hare (mother) and Simon Chenery (father). She was placed for adoption shortly after birth‚ and the adoption took place in Felixstowe‚ Suffolk.
Here are some important details that may help identify her:
• She was born with a birthmark just above her left eyebrow
• Her middle name at birth was Louise‚ though her adoptive parents may have changed her name to Beth
• Her foster parents before the adoption were Keren and Derek Stevenson
• Her adoptive parents also adopted a boy named Benjamin
I’ve taken an AncestryDNA test‚ but haven’t yet found a match that links directly to her. I’ve also searched online and through reunion resources‚ but I understand that adoption records in the UK are often private and hard to trace.
This message is shared with care and hope not to disrupt anyone’s life. I’d simply be grateful to know she’s okay‚ and if she’s open to it‚ to connect.
Thank you for reading.

14. Fran46 : At the time of my pregnancy I was working for Suffolk County Council working in social services based in the headquarters St Paul House, Rope Walk, Ipswich working within Adoption and fostering. The head of that department was Martin Ayres, and he took on my case basically working as my Social Worker. Within the department was the person who basically looked out those who were wanting to adopt that most suited my wishes for the parents of my child. That person was Mrs Carol deFeria. It was Carol who took my son to Lowestoft to meet his new parents.
I was not going to be in the position to provide the kind of life that I wanted my son to have. I was going to be living somewhere where I would not want to raise my child as I was possibly going to have to live in council housing which is not what I would want for myself or my son.
