15. Kimphung : In May 1991 our biological son LE VAN HONG (nickname HUNG) was kidnapped at QUYNG LAM street, HOA BINH CITY. Hong was 4-year-old at the time. After a few months of investigation, we found out a neighbor named PHAM MINH CAT and his nephew CUONG sold our son to a human-trafficking gang in DONG DANG, LANG SON. After Cat and Cuong were captured by the HOA BINH police department, they disclosed: “They (the gang) sold Hong to a government officer family in GUANGDONG, CHINA for 1.2 million (we are not sure whether it was Vietnam Dong or Reminbi). At the family that bought Hong, there was a man 45 years of age with a mustache, his wife (did not disclose her age), his elder mom, and his 6-year-old son. They bought Hong to replace their younger son who died previously. Before the gang left us, they asked Hong about his background and he answered:”My Dad’s name is Vui, Mom’s name is Hue, and my house is near the market (he was too young to remember what market it was).”
