16. Jak1966 : Born 25 May 1966 in Mtarfa‚ Malta. My Birth mother’s name was Christine Humphries. My original name was Karen Humphries. My adoptive parents were stationed in Malta. A Priest heard they were waiting to adopt and he approached them about my upcoming birth to an unmarried mother who had a father serving in the forces. I was separated from my Birth mother and placed with adoptive parents shortly after birth .My adoption was formalised in Newcastle-under-Lyme in 1967.My Adoptive mum travelled with me to the U.K for this as Dad was in the army. I am led to believe my Birth mother was 16 when she had me. She had a new partner who did not want someone else’s child.I was informed that my Birth mother’s family also did not want anything to do with me. I am aware contact with mother or maternal grandparents is unlikely‚ but would like to know if I have any half siblings. The identity of my birth gather was unknown or unrecorded.
17. RosemaryAnn23 : Birth mothers name is vincenza calleja (she was born in 1951 in birkirikara‚ malta). Birth place was St Luke’s hospital in pieta‚ malta
18. Carmela61 : Hi my name is Carmela Cremona born presumably on 01/07/1961 but I am not sure of my true name & date. I am searching my biological parents. I was born at the King George V Floriana Malta by Dr Cocks. My presumed adoptive father was in the army as a civilian.
My story goes as follows:
When his wife (possibly my adoptive mother) into labor he was approached to sign that the baby is to die due to complications to save his wife’s life. To his surprise when he returned‚ he found his wife holding a baby girl who definitely looked very different‚ blonde with fair hair and blue eyes which turned to green as I grew old.
I remember an English old lady coming to visit me regularly‚ at the gardens known as Kristu Re in Floriana. She never wanted to see my brother who was their biological son.
On his dying bed my father wanted to tell me something but my mother told him that it was not time yet and that she will tell me herself later‚ however‚ I never got to know since she never spoke about it again.
