31. Lilyf0072 : I can be wrong about my birthdate. So mid 70’s? Abandonment papers show I was adopted out of Quito Ecuador in 1976. I was presumed to be 2-3 years of age. Adopted to the US. DNA tests show nothing. Used my heritage.
37. Findhope45 : I am searching for any of my birth family (mother‚ father‚ etc) - I was born March 31st 1981 in Ecaudor‚ and between the time I was born and adopted (in February of 1988) I was left at an orphanage in Quito‚ Ecaudor. I don’t remember‚ nor have I been able to find out‚ what the name of the orphanage was‚ but I remember there were Nuns that ran the orphanage. I was adopted when I was six‚ and I’m not sure how long I lived at the orphanage prior to that. My birth name was David Ivan chicaiza tituana.
38. M2515 : My name now is Martha Patricia Hosler. I am trying to find my birth parents‚ who dropped me off in a basket at an orphanage in Quito‚ Ecuador. My birth certificate states my name as Martha Patricia Perez Perez‚ so my parents' last name is Perez. I came to the USA with 3 other children who were adopted at the same time by other adoptive parents who lived in Claymont‚ Delaware‚ and nearby PA. I was adopted by my adoptive family when we lived in Claymont‚ Delaware. The Ecuadorian Council in Phila‚ PA helped approve the adoption. We later moved to Newark‚ Delaware‚ and then Wilmington‚ Delaware‚ and in 2003 moved to Lehighton‚ Pennsylvania.
39. Emily-93 : Hello‚
I am searching for my biological family. I was born on September 22‚ 1993‚ at Enrique Garcés Hospital in Quito‚ Ecuador. After my birth‚ I was left at the hospital and later placed in the care of the children’s home Maria Campi de Yoder.
According to the documents‚ the woman who gave birth to me identified herself as Patricia Silvia Espinoza Gonzalez‚ born June 29‚ 1972. She claimed to be married to a man named Edison Espinoza and said they lived in the El Calzado neighborhood of Quito.
The story goes that she gave birth to me early in the morning and later told the hospital staff that she was going to pick up her suitcase. Sadly‚ she never returned‚ and no one came looking for me during the following month.
An investigation was made to find her at the address she had given‚ but the people living there (the Revelo family) had never heard of her or her husband.
I was later adopted and grew up in Norway‚ and I am now searching for my roots‚ my biological mother‚ or any relatives who might recognize this story.
Even the smallest clue would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for reading.
With hope and love‚
Emily Sætre
40. FreddyE1993 : Her name before she was adopted was Gina Elizabeth Enriquez Morillo‚ she was born in Quito‚ Ecuador november 1992. Our father died in 1993 and she was taken to an orphanage in Quito. Few month after we knew that she was adopted by a Canadian family.
I don't know her birth date I just remember that when my father passed away she was a little one‚ she didn't even walk alone.
41. Ntash12 : My understanding is I was born in Cuenca Ecuador. The story I’ve been told is that my birth mother was in what is considered a government run nursing home type place because she had a TBI due to being hit by a car at around 9 years of age. It is believed my bio father was the electrician in said institution. My mother was then transferred to a home (maybe an orphanage I’m not sure) run by nuns while she was pregnant with me. I was unable to leave the country for almost a year or maybe at least a year and was in the custody of people that my adoptive mother knew. That is all I know.
42. Jml919 : Female came to NC in USA December 4‚ 1987.
Alban is a possible surname for a birth parent. Birth mother was around 19 years old when female born.
45. Kellys01 : My dad was adopted from Quito‚ Ecuador to Sweden in november/december 1975. With the birth name Alfredo Balzan Balzan and parents listed as unknown. The institution he belonged to was "Isidro Ayora" a matrenity ward with the director's Dr. Luis Escobar being involved in the adoption court case. His inscripcion de nacimiento‚ birth certificate‚ claims he was born in San Blas in Quito 16th of february 1975.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
