My Malay adopted grandfather,Hussain or alias Hitam who was serving the British Army back then,took her as their adopted daughter & left for Singapore after his services ended in Kluang.There’s no official adoption letters nor documents were found to this day.
My mother only got to know about this after 1 of her adopted aunt & grandmother disclosed the secrets when she was around her teen years & when she was getting married.
We are keen to look for my mother’s family but came to no available as both adopted grandparents did not disclose any information & they had already passed away years ago.
We could not get much information from the old birth cert,as there was no surname listed in it either except for the address stated above.
It has been 60 years now,We do not know if her parents are still around or if she does have any siblings,she does misses them & her family.Tracing the family would mean so much to her & us.
