14. AdopteeCK : We are not sure where she was adopted from in India. She was in a foster type home and was adopted at the age of 6. She remembers coming to the United States to meet her adopted parents.
15. Mitchbehr : Searching for my husband’s grandmother’s birth records for our family tree. She was adopted and as far as we can ascertain the adoption took place in India. The family who adopted her were the ’Martin’ family - I believe his name was either Robin/Robert Martin and she was either Marjorie Lena or Lena. Lena was born in a town called Arsikere which is in the state of Karnataka, so we assume my husband’s grandmother was adopted from around there. The Martin family then left for Kenya and both Robert & Lena died in Nakuru, Kenya. We would love to find out my husband’s family roots.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
