10. Benji_Kayla_Foster : We are a young family, searching for my husband’s biological brother who we believe was adopted out around 1972 in Gisborne, New Zealand. My husband’s name is Benjamin Foster. His father was Sergeant Denis Foster. We believe that at the time of the adoption that Denis was a young man, approximately 16 years of age. We know that the resulting child was a male and that at the last known contact that he was residing in the United Kingdom and did not wish to make contact with his birth father or the family. We are reaching out for various reasons. My husband wishes to make contact with his biological brother after the devastating loss of his father in 2017. We also have 2 beautiful daughters, his nieces that we would love to know their Uncle and my husband would desperately love a relationship with his only brother. Our relationship with my husband’s family is fraught and we do not see no get along with them alot. We would like to branch out and offer acceptance to this member of our family, who’s name from family accounts is "Michael". My mother in law doesn’t speak of this, it was before her time, so this is the limited info we currently have to go on. If this sounds like you, or someone you know, please please make contact with us. We are desperate to know you and have you as part of our family.
11. Chelle78 : Hello I am trying to find an older sister who I think may have been adopted in the late 60’s or early 70’s. My grandmother was sent a letter from the grandmother of the adopted child explaining that a baby girl had been born and would be adopted out. The family of the child who was adopted out lived in Christchurch, New Zealand but may have moved to the North Island due to the daughter becoming pregnant either before or after the adopted child was born? (The father of the girl who was pregnant was the Chief Postmaster in Christchurch at the time)
12. Theotherkat : I am seeking my aunt on behalf of my mother and grandmother (who is now deceased) we have very few details. My grandmother put male/female twins up for adoption sometime in the mid 60s - early 70s but was told the male twin passed before ever reaching his adoptive family. My grandmother was Jeanette Margaret Wanstall (11/4/51 - 1/5/14) the adoption would have been in the north island potentially in the waikato/auckland regions.
13. HaydenWatt33 : Barbara Boot could have been the name of the woman who looked after my mother during her pregnancy on rural farm (potentially). I’m not exactly sure of the exact location of my adopted brother’s birthplace but it is most probably in the central to lower part of the North Island. Watt and Daley are the surnames of the parents.
14. Helen50 : I am looking for children of Robert John Mead. Robert lived in Levin in the 60s and 70s. So far there are 4 boys to the woman Robert married and 3 adopted children, we are aware that there is at least 2 more children out there somewhere. The information we have is Chic-France probably born before 1965 and Roxanne-China probably born between 1969 and 1970. I have no idea how accurate this information is as it was discovered on a piece of paper after Roberts death.
