I am looking for anyone that may have any information about my granddad who was born 1929 and in the 1930 census he was mentioned as the adopted son of John Peter Goeden. My granddad was given the name John Allen Goeden and the birth certificate i found does have his adopted parents names on it, and it says that he was born in Iowa city, Iowa. I’m not sure if adoption was in Iowa or Wisconsin because from information I had came across mentions that the Goeden family lived in both Iowa and Wisconsin around that time.
