We are searching for family members who were adopted from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee also know as Lakeside Children’s Center in the early 1950’s. Here is what we know about them. 3 brothers were adopted from this home. Their birth names and birth dates were: Joshph Degre Jr., B/ May 9, 1949, Michael Degre B/ Sept 3, 1950 and Robert Degre B/ Dec. 27, 1951. The birth parents were Lilly Mae Fugate Degre Jan16-1923-July12, 2007 and Joseph Degre Sr. April 23, 1925- Nov. 25,1991. The 2 younger boys may have been born in Miwaukee. Joseph Jr. was adopted and raised in Wisconsin. We believe his brothers were probably adopted by Wi. families and possibly even in the Milwaukee area. Joe Jr.s daughter (Kathy Degre) is desperately trying to locate her uncles and their families.
