I was born in Wauwatosa county to a young unmarried lady who was in a home for unwed mothers through the Salvation Army. I was placed in foster home until I was adopted before I turned a year old. I did search for my Birth Mother in the late 1990s as I was pregnant with my first child and wanted medical history. My case worker was not able to locate her at that time. However‚ she was able to contact my birth mothers half brother and sister. Because my adoption is a closed one I was not legally able to contact them unless my biological mother gave her permission. They had not seen her then in years.
