Looking for verification of adoption for my deceased mother. She was born as Linda Lee Wegner as listed on her birth certificate in 1951‚ but amended it in 1973 to update her last named to Sammarco for unknown reasons. Her step father‚ James Sammarco jr died in 1964 but there’s no records that I can find that indicate an adoption…but was told by her 3 remaining siblings that she was adopted. Need to find proof for my own sanity. I was told I was Sicilian based on James Sammarco jr being my grand father‚ but after my mothers death…I have found that i am not Sicilian at all…that alot of things I was told as a child were lies and I need to know the truth
