I gave birth to my son at the age of 16 in Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield‚ WI on Friday‚ Nov. 27th‚ 1971 at 10:01am. I was living at a home for unwed mothers on the grounds of Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. I believe it is now called Brookfield Memorial Hosp. n this is the hospital I gave birth to Brian James Anhalt. The adoption transpired through Catholics Social Services in Sheboygan‚ WI. I kept Brian James Anhalt for 3mos after giving birth to him at a foster parent’s home in Plymouth‚ WI hoping his father would find love in his heart to marry me n to give his son a home. We know how that prayer was answered. Brian’s paternal grandparents of Sheboygan‚ WI didn’t want anything to do with him nor me. My father was on me left‚ right n in between to give the baby up for adoption. My mother n father were not living together at the time. Brian’s maternal G-mom‚ my mom was extremely poor n I/we could not live there either. My mom worked as a cleaning lady 4 days out of the week n I had to go back to school. I pondered n prayed for a way to keep my little bobo but nothing came to the positive. I really wanted a better life for Brian‚ way better then I had. I wanted him to have a GOOD family with a mom‚ dad n siblings that all csred for him. My name is Lynn Anhalt-Grimstad I presently live in Waterloo‚ IA.
