I am looking for the birth parents of my grandfather (b. Nov. 7, 1864 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He was adopted in Cleveland, OH between 1864 and 1870 and appears in the 1870 census with his adoptive parents, neither of whom were his biological parents, John (b. Canada 1845) and Anna Z Conklin Redding (b. NY 1846). Any relation would be helpful I just want to know a biological name for the purposes of a correct genealogical chart, and any communication with a relative would be only to get that information. I need someone with ancestors in Fond du Lac, WI in 1864.
