IN 1930 ELLEN WAS IN HOWES, CASS, ND WORKING AS A SERVANT IN THE HOME OF REINHOLD AND IDA WENZLAFF. Ellen Mae Campbell had a child with REINHOLD WENZLAFF. 10-6-1932 that she gave up for adoption. I am looking for any information that will help find my Grandmothers family and he story before she married my grandfather Edward Anderson. any information you have would be great. March 7, 2019 I am hoping that the information I’m sending you rings a bell. I am trying to find my Grandmothers family. She has past away and I never thought to ask her about her family or past for that matter while she was living. Thanks to the dna test I found a new cousin and the baby my grandmother gave up for adoption. Rumer has it there might be one more baby to find. I do know that she also was given up for adoption and I would love to find out if she had brothers and sisters and which line of the Campbell tree she is attached to. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Good or bad information is welcomed. From what I understand from what I have been told she had a interesting past. She was a wonderful woman and nothing I find out will change how much I love and miss my grandmother. THIS IS WHAT I FOUND SO FAR. SEE IF IT MAKES ANY SENSE TO YOU. IN 1920 AUGUSTUS R LAKE BORN 5-29-1880 IND WHO WAS MARRIED TO CORA BORN 1878 MI HAD A DAUGHTER ELLEN WHO THEY ADOPTED. IN 1925 IN SHERBROOKE, STEELE, ND: OLAF BRANSTRUM 1859 HAD ROUP LAKE AND CORA AND ELLEM M. LAKE LIVING WITH HIM. AUGUSTUS’S MIDDLE NAME WAS ROUP. IN 1930 ELLEN WAS IN HOWES, CASS, ND WORKING AS A SERVENT IN THE HOME OF REINHOLD AND IDA WENZLAFF. Ellen was living with a family named Wenzlaff when she was 18 where she was listed on the census as a servant. Ellen must have become pregnant by him because the DNA matches him as well, and the child (Barbara Campbell) was given up for adoption in 1932. Ellens mother was named Cora, and I found a Cora Hoffer married to a Joseph Campbell, but I’m not sure its the right ones.
