I am hoping to make contact with my birth mother Maria Cornelius Van Den Vyver who stayed at the Mary Rolt Hostel in Mowbray‚Wynberg and gave birth to me at the Peninsula Maternity Hospital in Cape Town on 16th November‚ 1954. I was adopted within 10 days‚ by a Jewish couple and the doctor who co-ordinated the adoption was Dr. H. Savadier of Rondebosch. My birth surname appears to be spelt on some documents either as Van Den or Der Vyver. I discovered‚ by chance‚ at the ageof 30 that I was an adopted child. I am now 67.
