I was born in the Mowbray nursing home. My biological mothers name was whilhelmina Gerber‚ she named me Melane (ie) Gerber. She was from Knysna. I was told her family never knew she was pregnant‚ so she left home to stay in a home for unmarried mother prior to my birth. My adopted parents and my maiden surname was McMaster. I’m believe I was adopted in Dec 1959.
