Looking for a family with the surname Acres from the West Riding of Yorkshire. My Mother’s birth name was Rosemary Acres and she was born at Hazelwood Castle in 1943. She was adopted through Dr Barnardos in Leeds. Sadly she passed away this March 2023 from Bowel Cancer. Records were lost in a fire at the Castle.
