My half brother had a baby out of wedlock. I know very little about it except my parents (the adopted child’s grandfather and 2nd wife) desperately wanted to adopt the baby. The mothers family blocked it at every turn and I believe she was a high school student at the time. His sister and husband also offered to adopt the baby and were blocked. This is a loss we have felt in our family for a very long time and I would like to rectify it. This child (believed a girl) was wanted and would’ve been my sibling. I believe the child was born in 1973 or 1974 but I can’t be for certain.
