My Maternal Grandfather was adopted. We never had information about his birth parents. Everything was secretive. His adopted parents hid the adoption from everyone. People assumed they had him biologically and he was told about the adoption as a teen. His birth certificate claims he was born in west virginia may 16 1918. He died in 2001. His adopted name was Charles Reid Gracer. He went by "Reid". I’m sure there is no one out there looking for him‚ but my mother and her siblings would love to know the story of where their father came from. It would bring so much closure to decades of wondering.
