My parents‚ Rick Fassbinder and Jean (Mulgrew) Fassbinder were high school sweethearts living in Dubuque‚ Iowa. Mom got pregnant and her family sent her away to Washington ‚ possibly Seattle to give birth at a Catholic convent and my brother was given up for adoption.
