My father was born on the 12th of april, 1943 in Tacoma, Washington. The family that recieved a bouncing baby boy had the last name Nylin. My Grandfather Wesley Nylin and grandmother Edith Audrey Nylin are the only names on his birth certificate. Before he passed away, he told me that his name was Larsen, but his memory wasn’t doing well in those days. I can say that Wesley Nylin was a first generation immigrant from Sweden, and Edith Nylin was from Oregon. They did go to church, probably with all the other scandinavian families. It was either a Lutheran or Presbyterian church near where they lived in Seattle. Wesley’s Dad, my G-Grandfather was August Nylin and he was a some sort of muckymuck for the hospital in Seattle, but which one escapes me at the moment. I believe my family lived in west Seattle at the time of the adoption, with time spent in Ballard, Queen Anne Hill, and Suquamish, Washington. My dad’s name after adoption was Richard.
