My name is Angela. Recently my sister and I were contacted by a possible adopted relative, whose mother also happens to be adopted. Our DNA profiles show the adoptee match as 1st cousins-2nd cousins. Most of our family is deceased, with the exception of one Aunt on our mother’s side. What we do know is that our mother gave up several children when she was very young. I also discovered, two years ago, that our living Aunt had an adopted son locate her and is now living with her in Mississippi. According to my deceased uncle, both our mother and aunt gave up multi children. Both sisters were born in the 1940s, in Mississippi. My mother was Bettie Louise Riemath(m. Feathers), and the living aunt is Frances J. Riemath(m.Fulford). Both would have been 13-17 when they gave up their children. The adoptee we are in contact with is 30 years of age. We suspect her relation to us may be related to our aunt, or one of her other siblings...there were 5. Those deceased would be my mother, uncle James Riemath, two other aunts, Lula Mae Riemath & Dorothy Riemath. I am doing this in hopes of helping our newest relative find out who who her mother and father are/or who her mother’s parents were.
