UPDATE AS OF 2018: I believe we have identified her biological mother as Delores Jean Moore (1924-2012) Hello- We are searching for information on two people: Biological information on my husband’s deceased mother, and deceased paternal grandfather. My husband’s mother’s adopted name was: Shirley Mae Wright (Married name: Shirley Mae Thornton) DOB 24 OCT 1942 possibly in Yakima, WA. DIED 03 AUG 1994. There is some speculation that her adoptive father may have been also her biological father with a woman outside of his marriage. His name was Victor F. Wright and his wife was Sadie (Rowe) Wright. They may have even taken her straight from the hospital, although we’ve heard Shirley originally had a different given name. I cannot find any Birth Certificate, and she did not apply for a SS Card until after her first marriage. As for her father Victor, he, too was adopted. His original name, and presumably his correct bio info: Victo Peacock DOB 5 Aug 1894 Brownsville, Linn, Oregon 4 FEB 1895* Name Change/Adoption (Oregon Adoptions and Name Changes 1876-1918) *Victo/Victor would have been 6 Months Old Victor’s Adoptive Parents: James Walter Wright 1841-1917 Hannah (Bateman) Wright 1847-1913 I have lots more info on siblings, Grandparents, spouses, etc. Let me know what other pertinent info.
