I was adopted at less than a year old‚ and up until now have not wanted to cause my birth mother any distress by trying to find her. However‚ now am a grandmother myself‚ I find myself wondering more and more about who my parents were‚ hence I am beginning to search. My original birth certificate says I was was born in Cheltenham and my Christian names before adoption were Anne Marie. As far as I am aware‚ the adoption was arranged through the Church of England Children's Society and was finalised at Birmingham County Court on 20 October 1960. I don't have much more I'm afraid.
