I was born in Aug 1947 with the name of Augusta Marie West in Washington DC. I was transfered to the Childrens Home Society of VA where I stayed until 9 months old. I was adopted by wonderful parents and lived a good life. I was told that my birth mother worked at the State Dept in Wash DC along with 3 aunts who also worked there. I believe that my birth father was in the military but am not completely positive as I do not believe that my birth mother was married. Many years ago I had a detective try to find out this information but was not able due to the closed records of both Wash DC and VA. He indicated that he thought after my birth that she moved back to the midwest. I would just like to know some of my background.
