I was in the Navy from 1977-1981 and in 1977 was in Norfolk‚ VA and met Cindy Davis‚ she lived in Virginia beach. Her father was military. I was at sea when he was born and was asked to sign over custody when I got back. I believe she was going to marry someone else and he planned to adopt him. The birth mother (Cindy Davis) kept the baby and I can only guess got married. Cindy’s dad was a chief in the Navy. They lived on Admiral Dewey Blvd. in Virginia Beach. The mother may have put him up for adoption and not told me. He may have been born on hospital base.
