I was born in Lynchburg, Va. The adoption agency was the Children’s Home Society. According to heritage info provided to me by the adoption agency, my birth mother worked as an actress and was 30 years old in 1970. She was divorced and had two other children at the time. My adopted father told me at one time that her name may have been Lynn Dickson (or Dixon) (not sure if that was her stage or real name.) My birth father was employed as a Film Director, was 27 years old in 1970 and was not living in the United States at the time of my birth and was not aware of my adoption at the time. He was divorced and had one child. My mother called me "Melissa Lindsay" prior to my adoption. I was adopted at 6 weeks of age.
