My mother, the biological mother of the adopted child was only 13 at the time. She wanted to keep the baby, however the wellfare department of Virginia convinced her that it was best for everyone if she put him up for adoption. He was born in August, 1967 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg Virginia. I live in the D.C. metro area and constantly find myself wondering if I am driving past my brother on the beltway.
