I was born 2/25/71 in Norfolk‚ VA. My biological parents I was told were college students. My bio Mother‚ a very courageous young woman‚ resisted the urging of her boyfriend to terminate the pregnancy and committed herself to having a healthy baby for whom she would find a wonderful home. She may be from Norfolk. Upon news of her pregnancy‚ her parents sent her to a home for unwed mothers. The nuns said in their report that she felt frustrated being “confined “ and sought to entertain herself. While there‚ she listened to French language records. The adoption was conducted through the Catholic Home bureau‚ I think in Newport News‚ VA. After birth‚ which I think was in Norfolk the morning‚ I was put into foster care for a month and then on to my adopted family April 2‚ 1971 in Williamsburg‚ VA. My father was a professor at William and Mary‚ my Mom stayed home with me. Their names are James E. And Nora P Smith. I would deeply love to meet my biological Mother.
