I was born in Norfolk Virginia (Norfolk General Hospital) and was adopted by a lovely Navy couple several months after. All I was told was that my birth mom and dad were around 19, unmarried and attending the University of Virginia. Apparently my mother was the editor of the school yearbook? I was also told my birth mom’s father worked at GE and her mother cooked meals at a fraternity house. I paid the Up Center to do a search (apparently they took over the original adoption agency) and my contact said she could NOT reveal their names or birthdates but that after an exhaustive 2 month search, no one at the agency could find them. Apparently they had both changed their names and fallen off the grid along with any members of their families. So now I’ve hit a wall...
