The adoption has graced my life with immeasurable joy and satisfaction and neither my son nor I would change a thing. My son‚ however is disadvantaged by a lack of specific knowledge of his biological physical heritage and a blood related medical background. As for curiosity about his potential biological relatives‚ he has expressed curiosity about whether or not he has siblings. At the time of his adoption‚ we lived in Lynchburg‚ Virginia‚ and we worked with Catholic Charities in Roanoke. The agency was at that time managed by Sister Jeanne Claire whose secretary was a Mrs. O’keefe. Our son was released from the hospital on a Saturday‚ and we went to Sister’s place of residence‚ St Vincent’s Home for Boys‚ to pick him up.
