My adoptive father told me the only information he knew was that my birth mother’s last name is Blankenship/ Blankenship (unsure of spelling), and that I was born in Lexington, Virginia. I believe I was adopted only a few (2-4) months after my birth. The date record filed on my birth certificate is stated as June 22, 1955.
