My son was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He was adopted in Georgia at birth. I do not know who adopted him. Several years ago I called and spoke with someone at the Georgia Adoption Registry. She told me that there were two cards in my file, one said he was adopted in Georgia, the other said adopted in Virginia. I thought that maybe he was adopted in Georgia, then the adoptive parents divorced, then my son was adopted by the second husband. I’m not sure that happened it’s just a theory.
