My half-brother or sister was born while the mother - Laurie Ann Sammons- and my father - David Michael Murphy were students/sophomores. He was at the University of Virginia. She was at the "Women’s UVA" not sure which school that was. They had met while students at York High School in Yorktown, Virginia. The baby was likely adopted by someone in the military, possibly the Marines. (Ms. Sammons’ grandmother lived on the base at Dahlgren, Virginia.) Both birth parents are tall with dark hair.
