Hello - I'm Jennifer Delgado. My mother Carolyn Mae Adams was the oldest child of Merlon Maebelle "Tracy" Holloman and James Milton Adams. I'm looking for her sister Mary Lynn Adams. The information I was able to get from my grandmother and mother was: -Feb. 5‚ 1957 my grandmother had a baby girl named Mary Lynn Adams. -In 1957 my grandmother got tuberculosis and was sent to a Sanitorium in Charolettesville. -They didn't think she was going to make it and my great-grandmother couldn't take on 4 small children and now an infant. -Her husband James Milton Adams was not around (ending up getting divorced due to Desertion ) -She had very good friends/neighbors in Virginia. She said their names were Gloria and William. They apparently had other adopted children and said they would take her. -Gloria and William apparently moved to California shortly after. -Just last year I found written notes from my mother (who has passed) regarding Mary Lynn. Basically the same as above‚ but she had written a last name of Penny. Along with Ricky and Mary Ann. -So I believe the adopted parents would have been William & Gloria Penny. -Doing work in Ancestry‚ my grandmother's residence in 1956 was 5843 Jefferson Ave. Newport News‚ Virginia‚ US. And in 1958 was 214 Dover Road‚ Newport News‚ Virginia -I have a few pictures of Mary Lynn with the family which I believe would be around April of 1957.
