My deceased father, Karl Lorenzo Harris, was adopted I think from the Friends Association for Colored Children in Richmond, VA now known as Friends Association for Children. His birth name was Karl Xavier Johnson. My father always wanted to contact with his adoptive parents but was never successful. He was raised in a very loving home but always had a whole in is heart because he didn’t know where he came from. I’m eager to fulfill his dream and contact with the family I never knew.
