Hello, following is what I know of my adoption. Born Jan 30, 1960 at 6:21 AM at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Named at birth ’Donna’. At 2 days old placed in foster home. Birth mother born Jan 17, 1928. Married May 23, 1949 to a man enlisted in the Navy. Had 4 other children: Male April 16, 1950 Male July 9, 1952, Female July 28, 1953 and Female July 28, 1953 At the time of my birth my birth mother’s mother was alive but her father was deceased (1958). Birth mother had an affair and my birth was a result. Birth father was 24 years old at the time of my birth and in the Marines. At the time of my birth both of his parents were alive and one sister. Birth father’s father was also in the Marines. The adoption case workers names were Miss Styron and Miss Jackson. Case #A6714. The pediatrician was Dr. Forest White - Norfolk, VA. My adoptive parents were Margaret and Bill Bachtell. I was placed in my adoptive parents home - 404 Maycox Avenue - Norfolk - VA- 23505- on May 27, 1960.
