My mother (Moyra Ahern) was a single girl aged 22 and lived in the residence for unwed mothers opposite the old Royal Women’s Hospital. In saying this‚ she did wear a wedding ring which l wear today. The father’s name was Ken (don’t know his surname but he was Polish). She delivered at the RWH. She had a girl and named her ‚ Kerrie-Anne (unsure how she spelt her name. I believe the baby was adopted by a ? minister & his wife in Melbourne. Mum was able to take the baby to this family she told me. Mum was from a farm community near Minyip in Victoria but was a school teacher in Ballan‚ Victoria. Mum was never good with dates‚ so the 10th may not be 100% accurate. If you could assist me in my search for my sister l would be eternally grateful.
