The male child was born July 8, 1932 at Salt Lake General Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah. Per birth certificate, the mother’s name was Erma C. Peterson, father’s name William West. Mother was told to breastfeed the child for a few weeks before he was adopted, perhaps the recorded birthday will be different? I have been told by SLC vital records that the adoption is sealed and they refused to give further info. I was born to Erma Peterson and Melvin Curtis in 1933. This was a family secret until I obtained a certified copy of my birth certificate in 1970 and it stated I was the 2nd child born to this mother. Shock! Erma (my mother) was ashamed and refused to give me any information about the child or his father. If still living, he would be 88 years old in 2020. Thank you for any help.
