My name is Kristen Acosta (Kirkwood) - I know a large amount of details about my adoptive situation. I have siblings on my "sperm donor’s" side that I am fairly close to as an adult now. My biological mother has passed away since and I did attend her funeral and luckily enough was able to meet and spend time with her before this. I am simply trying to get my files from the state of Utah. I was looking for my long-form‚ "book copy" of my original birth certificate simply because I was looking for the time I was born. I now have a daughter myself‚ am curious and want this information. It’s my information‚ my identity‚ and my story - I don’t just want this information‚ I am owed this information. The state of Utah has refused to give me access and stated I have to wait until November as a Utah bill recently passed to make getting this information easier. This is unacceptable to me. I am looking for support‚ a community that has been through this‚ and overall help.
