Over the years I have searched around for a half sister my mother gave up for adoption when she was a teenager in 1974. My mother‚ Susan Brinkerhoff (maiden name) was from Des Moines‚ Washington and when it was decided that she would put the baby up for adoption‚ she moved down to Provo to live with her Aunt and Uncle. What information I do have is she went through LDS Adoption services and she remembers giving birth in March 1974 at the Provo Utah Valley Hospital. She has said she can’t recall the exact day and wasn’t entirely sure it was March‚ so unfortunately that is all I have to go off of.
