My name is Trishina (Ekaterina Trishina). I was born in Sevastopol‚ Ukraine on July 4th‚ 1991. My adoption took place in 1992. My birth mother’s name is Irina Trishina- Mikhailovna is her patronymic name. I recently found her in November of 2021 using a predominantly Eastern European social media app called VK or "Vkontakte". I maybe found my birth father? Still not sure. ) Reunion can be very difficult to navigate for both the birth mother and the adopted child/adult. There is such a thing called birth trauma‚ and it is very common in birth mothers and adopted children. I would be more than happy to try and help anyone trying to search for their eastern european birth family‚ or at least help them with their paperwork if they have any questions (as I am familiar with it).
