I am trying to find out if I was placed on the adoption register in Ankara Turkey I was placed in an orphanage In Turkey and do not know who my birth mum was my name in Turkey was known as meral Malci I am now known as meral dawe my British family adopted me in 1981 I believe and I was registered as a British citizen in September 1981. I did have a birth certificate but unfortunately have lost it also a transcript that was all in Turkish and had my birth mothers name on it I do not have this now
