I am looking for my mother’s sisters family. My mother was adopted and so was my aunt. We believe that my aunt was born in Arkansas. We believe her birth family was from Earle.I personally believe she was born in Emmet or Emerson. We do not know where she was between birth and Dec. 1947. She was either in a home for unwed mothers or a ward of the state, but I’m hitting a stone wall here also. Her birth name was Joy Woolworth, or Woolridge. She was adopted from the North Texas Agency in Wichita Falls Tx. We believe her birth father may have been in the service. She was adopted by W.H. and Euvila Hailey in December of 1947. She was born with a hole in her heart so it was a little slower getting her a good home. She taught special education at Vernon High and Old High in Wichita Falls, Tx. Her and her husband raised 2 sons. She loved her students and she loved going camping with the 4 wheelers. She traveled all over. Her favorite places were Colorado and Canada. She passed away on May 19, 2015.
