I received today - all these years later - from the state of texas, a copy of a letter my birth mom sent in 1972, asking for my information. I have been searching my whole life and worried that time is running out. My adoption happened at Volunteers of America in Ft. Worth, TX. My mom was around 21 years of age and has a daughter one year older than me. She divorced my birth father the year after I was born and they lived in east Texas - around Pittsburg. The Paternal side’s last name is Nickerson.
