I am my adopted brother’s brother. All we know is from memories from our 84 year old Father who said immediately after birth the midwife handed my baby brother to him and our Mom in Laredo TX. They went to the Courthouse in Laredo with an attorney and completed the adoption procedure and paid $100. He doesnt know what Courthouse, Judge, or the name of the attorney either. My brother’s name is Michael Ceburn Belcher and was born on October 28th, 1960 and seems to be of hispanic origin. Our parents are Betty June (Trammel) Belcher and Ceburn William Belcher and his birth does show in the state records. My adopted brother did the basic Ancestry.com DNA test however the closest relatives are 4th to 5th cousins back. Perhaps a nearer match will popup in the future. That makes for a huge net to try to narrow down immediate relatives. Unfortunately I have found many that are listed seem to have only logged in maybe once or a couple of times and then they stopped checking. So even if you reach out to contact them if they dont bother to log in they will never see your note in their system. So if anyone is knowledgable about a Hispanic Male that was born on 10/28/1960 and was adopted in Laredo TX I know my brother would like to learn about his biological family.
