My father, George Truett Savage, was born January 6, 1925 in Amarillo TX. He was adopted by William S Savage and Pansy F Savage. William Sidney Savage was the postmaster in Amarillo. The story goes that a young nurse from the nearby hospital was a regular customer at the post office. When she became pregnant, Postmaster Savage, asked if he and his wife could adopt the baby. Family lore says the young nurse fell in love and became pregnant by one of the doctors. I am looking for my dad’s birth family. I would love to know my genealogy.
